The Sheboygan River Basin Partnership has provided many interesting, yet educational forums and projects to the local community over the years. Many of these projects are one day forums, although some of them are ongoing. Join today to learn more about our watershed and have access to “hands-on” projects.
Sheboygan River Basin Natural Resources Protection
There are more than 100 conservation organizations operating within the Sheboygan River watershed. In addition to the state agencies and approximately 21 municipalities, the number of projects which will protect and improve the water quality in this basin is impressive. The Partnership hopes to accomplish the following goals:
- Increase the visibility of current environmental issues facing the basin.
- Encourage more effective organization collaboration and community involvement in the resolution of environmental problems occurring within the basin.
- Increase the number of organizations or individuals participating in conservation efforts.
- Expand the public's level of understanding and involvement in natural resource stewardship.
